All submissions will be considered for the Numinous Magazine Poetry Prize to be awarded annually in November. 1st Prize: NZ$ 300; 2nd Prize: NZ$ 100; 3rd Prize: NZ$ 50. All poems should have a focus on spirituality. Winning poems will be published in the November issue. Poems will be judged based on merit and excellence in poetic language, thematic import, originality, and overall quality by the editor and the publishers of this magazine. Judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into after the winners are announced. Note: If you do not want your poem/s to be entered in the contest but would like to be considered for publication in the magazine, please let us know when you submit.
We accept poems of a spiritual nature written in any style.
Poems must not be previously published.
You are responsible for the originality of the work you submit.
Please proof read your submissions and check for any typos and grammatical errors.
Simultaneous submissions are okay but please mention it.
We will only consider one batch of poems per poet per issue so please choose your best work.
